Shannon O'Toole has been a physical therapist for over 16 years, with 11 of those spent in an orthopedic clinic specializing in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT or McKenzie Method). Her commitment to evidence-based care and patient outcomes has been recognized in published research highlighting her clinical quality.
After experiencing firsthand how nutrition and lifestyle changes transformed her own health, Shannon realized this is an essential piece that is missing in traditional orthopedic care.
To bridge that gap, she became a Certified Nutritional Physical Therapist, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach—bringing a truly integrative perspective to rehabilitation.
Shannon is especially passionate about helping individuals with chronic pain, osteoarthritis, autoimmune arthritis, and orthopedic injuries recover and thrive by combining the best of MDT principles with nutrition and lifestyle strategies for a more comprehensive approach to healing.

Trained in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Shannon can provide an efficient evaluation process to identify the type and source of the injury, appropriately address mechanical deficits associated with the injury, AND discuss tools for prevention.

For new or old injuries that require healing, we will provide nutrition guidance to be sure your body has the building blocks necessary for tissue healing and repair!

We recognize that other lifestyle factors are key to help set you up for success and get your body into the most optimal environment for healing. For example, we may integrate techniques to help regulate your nervous system, sleep, hydration, recovery, and other aspects of your personal life that can be modified to enhance your treatment program and help with prevention.

To provide these personalized and comprehensive services, we are a cash only clinic and are not in network with insurance. At this time most insurances do not cover integrative services such as diet and lifestyle coaching under physical therapy. However, upon request, we can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance, but coverage is not guaranteed.
Due to Medicare guidelines, I cannot see individuals with Medicare coverage for physical therapy services, even as a cash pay option. However, I can see individuals with Medicare for health coaching as a cash based service. If you have Medicare and are interested in your options, contact me for a free 15 min Discovery call, and let's discuss!

Via telehealth for all SC residents (note pricing difference)
PRICING
$130- 60 min Initial In Person Physical Therapy Consult ($100 telehealth evaluation)
All consults come with general nutrition and lifestyle education/handouts
$80 min for a 45 min in person physical therapy follow up ($60 for telehealth)
$50 for a 30 min telehealth follow up visit
$50 for a 30 min nutrition/lifestyle coaching session (done via telehealth)
